What are the common reasons for babies crying
1. The baby is hungry
Hunger is a common cause of baby crying. The younger the baby, the more likely it is to be hungry. However, the exception is one or two days after the baby is born, as some babies do eat less at that time. If you are breastfeeding, when you secrete a small amount of colostrum and notice that you are "breastfeeding" around the third day after delivery, you may have stronger awareness.
The baby has a small stomach and cannot eat too much food. If the baby is crying, then you can breastfeed him because he may be hungry. He may not stop crying immediately, but as long as he wants to eat, let him keep eating, and when he is full, there will be no more trouble. If the baby still cries after being full, it may be because he has other requirements.
2. The baby needs to change clothes or diapers
If the baby's clothes are uncomfortable, they will become sensitive and start making noise. Some babies need to change their diapers and will let you know immediately, especially when their skin is already irritated. But there are also babies who don't seem to care if their diapers are dirty, and feel quite warm and comfortable.
No matter which type of baby your baby belongs to, it's easy to detect whether the diaper is dirty or not. You can also take the opportunity to discover whether the diaper is too tightly wrapped or if the baby's clothes are making him feel uncomfortable.
3. The baby feels too hot or too cold
Some newborns, after changing their diapers or taking a shower, are not accustomed to the feeling of bare skin and are willing to be wrapped up warmly. If your baby is the same, you can quickly learn how to quickly change his diaper and make him quiet. However, it is also important to be careful not to wear too much to prevent the baby from overheating. In principle, babies need to wear one more item than you.
The same goes for babies when they sleep. If it's too hot, cover them less. If it's too cold, cover them more. Babies' hands and feet are usually slightly cooler, so it's important to know if the baby is hot or cold, and you should touch their belly. The temperature of the baby's room should be maintained at 18 ° C.
4. The baby wants you to hold it
Some babies just want adults to hug them more. Older children may feel at ease as long as they see you in the room or hear your voice, but newborns generally have to be held to be satisfied. If the baby is already full and has changed diapers, then he may be crying just to make you hug him.
You may be worried about constantly holding the baby and spoiling it, but in the first few months, this is impossible. Different babies have different needs for cuddling. Some babies may always need your attention, while others can stay quiet on their own for a long time. If your baby wants you to hug him, then hug him. Put him in the front baby backpack and you can free up your hands to do other things.
5. Baby wants to sleep
You may think that babies should be able to sleep whenever they want, no matter when or where they are. However, if your baby receives too much stimulation (such as having many guests at home), he may find it difficult to calm down due to excessive stimulation.
Newborn babies should not receive too much stimulation at once, such as light, sound, being held back and forth, etc. Many parents have found that when someone comes from home, their baby cries more often than usual.
If you find that there is no special reason for a baby to cry, it may be that he uses crying to express "I've had enough!" If you can take him to a quiet place and gradually reduce the stimulation on him, he may cry for a while, but eventually fall asleep.
6. The baby is not feeling well
If you have just finished feeding your baby and haven't noticed anything that makes him uncomfortable (the baby may feel uncomfortable due to some very small things, such as a hair wrapped around his toes or a label stuck on his clothes, etc.), but he still cries, you can consider taking his temperature to see if he is sick.
The crying sound of a baby after getting sick is different from the crying sound when they are hungry or bored, and may be more urgent or sharp. Similarly, if a baby who usually cries suddenly becomes unusually quiet, it may also indicate that he has a problem. Regardless of the situation, if you feel something is wrong, be sure to take him to the hospital.
